The Moscow Metro is testing a new LTE network at frequencies of 360-380 MHz.
It is likely that it will automate many processes, including the use of unmanned trains.
We have our own radio frequency band, which, probably, in the future, using the metro band, will switch to unmanned control. My opinion is that the approximate period for this is about 5-10 years.
Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow
So far, the network is operating in pilot mode on one section of the Nekrasovskaya line, where two test base stations are installed. After testing, the network will be launched on the entire line. In the future, it is planned to cover the entire subway. [ТАСС]
