The temperature will change according to the position the player is passing. According to the scenario, the controller heats up if the player is in a hot desert, and cools down in winter conditions.
According to the authors of the Sony patent review, it is likely that instead of plastic, some kind of gel-like material will be added to the controller, which will quickly change the temperature regime. However, this may adversely affect the autonomy of the device. Also, the player’s hands may sweat when the device gets hot.
However, there is no data that Sony plans to implement the patent in the near future.
