The researchers ran the tool on more than 15 million passwords. The program was able to crack 51% of common passwords in less than a minute, 65% in less than an hour, 71% in less than a day, and 81% in less than a month.
However, all is not so bad. Experts shared a table showing which passwords will take the hardest or the longest to crack. If you use a 12-character password with uppercase and lowercase letters, it would take 289 years to crack the password. If you add numbers to this, you get 2000 years. And if you add more and special characters, you get 30,000 years.
