After several months of speculation, NVIDIA Its official launch, the 12th, was announced on Wednesday. RTX4070. A mid-range/premium graphics card comes with the latest Ada Lovelace architecture.

NVIDIA’s final 70 series is one of the most sought after segments for the consumer who wants a good performance-price ratio, although their values are slightly higher than the 60-finished family.

The RTX 4070 uses a modified AD104 chip manufactured at 5 nm with 46 stream multiprocessors and a total of 5888 CUDA cores. It has a base clock of 1920 MHz with 36 MB of L2 cache, 64 ROPs and boosting up to 2475 MHz. When it comes to memory, the GPU comes with a 192-bit interface and 12GB GDDR6X VRAM over 504GB/s bandwidth.

NVIDIA/Disclosure

In terms of energy, the 4070 consumes less than the previous generation. According to the manufacturer, the card has a TGP of 200 W and needs a supply of at least 650 W to run smoothly.

The GPU was developed with Quad HD quality (2560×1440) games in mind, with over 100 frames per second performance. The model also follows the wave of new technologies such as 3rd Gen DLSS, which creates intermediate frames to improve performance in games.

In benchmarks provided by the brand itself, the new card far outperforms the RTX 3070 Ti and outperforms the older RTX 2070. For a more technical comparison, the model has 29 Teraflops, putting this part in direct competition with the RTX 3080 with the same number of floating points. Its big brother, the RTX 4070 Ti, has 40 TFLOPs and is a competitor to the RTX 3090.

F NVIDIA/disclosure

The RTX 4070 is available for purchase in the international and local market for $599 starting tomorrow, the 13th. For Brazilian retailers, NVIDIA has confirmed the suggested retail price for the motherboard is R$4,999.
