In January-March 2023, sales of smart home devices in Russia increased significantly. At the same time, the average check for such devices decreased by 5% and amounted to about 1.4 thousand rubles. The most demanded products were light bulbs, plugs, IP cameras and control sensors.
At M.Video-Eldorado, sales of security devices increased 1.5 times, smart speakers – 2.2 times, the company told RIA Novosti.
Most often devices are controlled via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or voice commands, and the choice of models with support for the Zigbee protocol is expanding.
- At the end of March, Russian warehouses were packed with smartphones, tablets, accessories and other electronics amid a nearly 30% drop in demand. Sellers are forced to sell products at a discount of 15-20%.
