Apple officially opens the first Apple Store in India on Tuesday, April 18th.

Apple BKC in Mumbai will fulfill “a dynamic space where interaction happens, bringing together, learning about Apple products and services, discovering exceptional services, and getting more out of your devices for free with Today at Apple sessions,” the Cupertinos noted.

Apple BKC is offering a special Today at Apple series called “Sunrise in Mumbai” that will run from April 18 through the summer. The free sessions feature hands-on activities around encounters in communities and cultures.

Apple BKC is designed to be one of the world’s most energy efficient Apple Stores, with exceptional battery power and zero dependence on fossil fuels to run stores. The store is carbon neutral and runs on 100% energy.

Each tile is made from 408 pieces of wood, forming 31 modules per tile, for a total of 1,000 tiles that make up the ceiling
