Market participants met with the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation to discuss pricing principles for domestic products. At the meeting, it was decided to introduce a price self-regulation mechanism to keep software prices at a reasonable level.

Domestic developers will also draft and sign a responsible working memorandum in the IT market, which, according to the ministry, “confirms its commitment to fair pricing and transparency.”

Therefore, companies undertake not to raise the prices of software beyond the reasonable level and not to publish up-to-date information on the marginal costs of products, including the official market of Russian applications.

If complaints are received about an unreasonable increase in the price of the software, the company’s accreditation may be suspended for the duration of the audit.
