The German company Henkel announced the sale of its Russian business. The buyer was a consortium of investment companies. The deal will be closed in the near future, its amount amounted to 54 billion rubles (about 600 million euros).
Henkel will soon close the deal to sell its Russian business, the company’s press service said. They clarified that they had already received all necessary approvals from regulatory authorities. Henkel made the decision to sell the business in Russia in April 2022.

Kismet Capital is owned by businessman Ivan Tavrin, Augment Investments is a structure of the owner of Pharmstandard, Viktor Kharitonin, Elbrus Capital is owned by the founder of the investment fund Elbrus Capital, Dmitry Kryukov.
Henkel’s portfolio includes the brands Persil, Bref, Schwarzkopf, Syoss, Fa, Ceresit and many more. Earlier, Lab Industries, the Russian division of Henkel, began to Russify product names. Instead of Latin, they began to write them in Cyrillic, for example, “Vernel”, “Bref”, “Persil”.
