Georgia’s largest bank TBC has warned clients to close their accounts if transactions are identified as violating sanctions against Russia. The blocking will take place without prior notice.

The credit institution recalled that the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the US, the UK and the EU also include freezing of assets, blockade, restriction of access to financial resources, direct and indirect export bans from the US, UK and the EU to Russia and vice versa.
  • Earlier, the largest bank in Cyprus decided to close the accounts of 4,000 Russians. This will affect those who are not residents of EU countries. Bank of Cyprus fears the imposition of sanctions by the United States and Great Britain, which prohibited the provision of various services to Russian citizens.
