After many years of teaser, hype and waiting, the time has finally come: the new one Volkswagen ID. fuss went into production. The fully electric minibus it will be delivered to the first customers soon. The ID. Buzz takes over from the iconic Bulli, one of the most striking vehicles in Volkswagen history.

For now the ID. Buzz is only available in Germany, but will be available in our country already in the fall.

The production was entrusted to the factory in Hanover, where more than 4,000 employees work. The plant has recently been converted to produce next-generation electric vehicles such as the ID Buzz. But not only that, it also houses the production of the Volkswagen Multivan T7, a plug-in hybrid with an electric range of 50 km. In total there are two ID.Buzz models in the catalog:

Volkswagen wants to produce 15,000 per year. Later, the Hanover plant will operate at full capacity, with an estimated production of 130,000 vehicles per year.

The ID Buzz rests on the MEB platform. It has a 150 kW drivetrain with 310 Nm of torque and is powered by an 82 kWh battery. Enough for an autonomy is 423 km, which increases to 425 km in the Cargo version.
