Duracell Russia CEO Yuri Korotaev confirmed the company’s plans to exit the Russian market. But environmental projects will continue to operate in the country.

The CEO of Duracell in the Russian Federation confirmed the company’s departure from the country

Earlier, the Mash Telegram channel published a letter signed by Korotaev, addressed to the company’s business partners, in which it was said about the exit from Russia. The text also states that Duracell does not plan to distribute or make its products available in the Russian Federation after leaving.

“Essentially, this decision means that the Company will terminate all commercial contracts, as well as addendums and additional agreements thereto, will cease product deliveries in the coming weeks, and that the Company will be required to liquidate all orders currently pending. The company will fulfill any current/new orders until available stocks are depleted,” the letter released by Mash read.

Duracell Russia CEO Yuri Korotaev told the Rise Telegram channel that the letter was genuine. He added that the company’s environmental projects in Russia will continue to operate. Scenarios for your future activities are being developed.

After Mash’s publication, TASS turned to Colors Group LLC, one of Duracell’s distributors in the Russian Federation, for comment. They said they did not receive any notification about the cessation of work in the country.

Meanwhile, in its letter, the company asks the partners to provide documents for final settlements.

Last spring, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce included Duracell in the list of companies whose products can be supplied under the parallel import scheme. However, in the summer, the manufacturer was delisted, since it officially continued to work in Russia.
