The color of the tape depends only on the ease of use. For example, in a professional setting, experts use cool colors (i.e., blue, blue) to indicate zero and bright colors (red, brown, etc.) to indicate phase. There are also yellow, green electrical tapes: they are used to work with grounding contacts. The white color is used to denote various wires.
