Insider Ice Universe, known for its prediction calculations, has shared new information about the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The smartphone will use a new Sony sensor for the main camera. The iPhone 14 Pro Max is equipped with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX803 sensor, while the novelty will receive an IMX903.
One manifestation seen between the two sensors is that the iPhone 14 Pro Max camera has a 1/1.28-inch sensor while the IMX903 has a 1/1.14-inch sensor. Large sensors are theoretically better than small sensors as they capture more light and detail.
The insider is confident that the 1/14-inch sensor quality will not be much inferior to the 1-inch, which will join the Android flagships. The IMX903 can also have twice the signal saturation, which should help reduce noise and extend the extended range. [PhoneArena]
