In 2022, Kinopoisk’s revenue doubled to RUB 15.2 billion. The service also managed to cut its net loss by 20% to RUB 3.8 billion. Among online theaters, Kinopoisk received the highest revenue last year, but only Amediateka managed to end the year with a profit.
At the end of 2022, Kinopoisk received the highest revenue among Russian online cinemas – it doubled year on year and amounted to 15.2 billion rubles. Kinopoisk’s net loss amounted to 3.8 billion rubles, 20% less than in 2021.
ivi’s revenues in 2022 grew by 7.7% to RUB 12.7 billion. The company ended the year with a net loss of 693.7 million rubles. The Start service worked last year with a revenue of 4.4 billion rubles, which is one and a half times more than the previous year. Start’s net loss amounted to 133.8 million rubles, more than three times less than in 2021.
The only online cinema that closed 2022 with benefits was Amediateka. Net profit of A Serial LLC increased by 37.1% to 970.7 million rubles on revenue of 4.78 billion rubles (+39.4% YoY).
