News agency KUTV reported on the rescue of students from the Utah Corps, USA, thanks to the SOS function in the iPhone 14.

Three students decided to walk through the Squeeze Canyon in Emery County and went deep into its territory. This made their journey difficult. As expected, the wet winter made it difficult for the guys to move around the area, one of them developed symptoms of hypothermia while moving in the water.

The area where they were stranded “was about 150 meters within the clear stone walls”, so they had no cell service. In the end, they called rescuers via satellite in the iPhone 14 – messages were sent every 20 minutes.

Rescuers arrived closer to the night and pulled the students out by helicopter. [9to5]
