According to him, services like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Bard will soon be able to teach reading and writing at a human teacher level.

At the ASU+GSV Summit in San Diego, Gates stated that today’s chatbots have “incredible reading and writing skills” and will soon help students hone their skills like never before.

But Gates added that before such services can become full-fledged counselors, they need to better understand and reproduce human language to motivate students.

Gates also argues that chatbots will impress us primarily with their ability to aid reading and provide feedback on written work. Then they will improve our ability in mathematics.
