Should I buy the new model instead of the old model? Or is the one that came out a year ago enough? This is about Galaxy A33 and A34.
Overall, the A33 and A34 have a lot in common. But there are also some very serious differences.
In terms of configuration, the A33 does not differ from the A34. The same goes for body materials: both devices are made of plastic.
There’s no headphone jack either. At the same time, smartphones support charging up to 25 W (but the charger is not included).
The A33 has a 6.4 inch screen while the A34 has a 6.6 inch screen. Although the height of the devices is almost the same. Also, the refresh rate of the A34 is already 120Hz, while that of the A33 is 90Hz. Peak brightness is also noticeably higher on the A34.
The processor in the A33 is Exynos 1280 (6/8 GB), A34 – Dimensity 1080 (6/8 GB). Galaxy A34 works faster and in games and when opening standard applications. In AnTuTu it gets 480 thousand points, while A33 – 436 thousand points.
In both cases, the battery capacity is 5000 mAh. Runs 30% longer with A34. Smartphones charge at the same rate: up to 100% in 1 hour and 20 minutes.
The front cameras take exactly the same pictures. Face unlock is faster on the A34 in a fraction of a second.

As for the main cameras, the difference is only in the presence of a 2 MP depth sensor in the A33. At the same time, the A34 does well in portrait photos, although it does not have this sensor. The wide-angle lens works better on the A33 (probably because the A34 just came out). Otherwise, you can put an equal sign between photos taken from smartphones. You can see sample photos above.
The price difference between the Galaxy A33 and A34 is quite significant. But in fact, smartphones differ from each other in screen diagonal, Bluetooth version, stereo volume, design, maximum screen brightness, screen refresh rate, processor, autonomy. Although the A33 is cheaper, it cannot be said to be worse than the new model. At the same time, the A34 looks more balanced.
