VTB will launch a digital bank on the platform of chat bots in VK Messenger, the press service of the credit organization reported. The bank plans to complete the tests by the end of April.
According to the bank, the service will allow customers to carry out more than 80% of daily transactions within the VKontakte social network.
Banking in VK will work in the mobile version of the social network on all devices, including iOS and Android smartphones, said Anatoly Pechatnikov, vice president of VTB.
What operations can be carried out in the VTB online bank in VK Messenger:
- Transfer funds through SBP
- pay multiple bills
- Pay online subscriptions added to VTB (taxes, traffic police fines, receipts for housing and communal services, educational services)
- Recharge mobile phone account
At the same time, the speed of transactions will be doubled compared to Internet banking.
The security system of the service has authorization in two steps: in the social network and in the online bank account. At the same time, if the client does not take any action within five minutes after authorization, the session will be automatically terminated.
To use the new service, the client must find the official VTB community in the VKontakte application. The bank advises that there should be a blue checkmark for account verification next to the name of the banking group.
In January, VTB launched mobile banking on Telegram messenger. Already in the spring, Roskomnadzor banned credit institutions from providing services via foreign instant messaging, including Telegram, despite objections from the Russian Banking Association.
