US Customs and Border Protection officials have seized more than 1,000 pairs of counterfeit AirPods Pro at Washington International Airport.
Four shipments bound for Fairfax County, Virginia were infected on March 15. Investigators found 1,000 counterfeit AirPods and 50 counterfeit Apple Watches. Gadgets sent from China, scammers could earn 290 thousand dollars on them.
All devices were seized on March 29, but no one was charged in the case.
Consumer Customs and Border Protection expands their health and wallets by purchasing genuine consumer goods from authorized consumers.
