It can also compromise crypto wallets such as Atomic, Binance, Exodus, Electrum, and MetaMask.

Hackers sell the malware for $1,000 a month and update it regularly. Once the malware is installed, it compresses the stolen data into a ZIP file and sends it back to the attacker via the C&C server URL.

Although macOS is generally considered more secure than Windows and Linux, hackers are still actively developing malware specifically for macOS; so it’s important to be careful, update your software regularly, and avoid questionable downloads.
