WhatsApp* introduces the ability to listen to voice messages outside of chat

WhatsApp has added the ability to listen to voice messages outside of chat. The update is available in beta version 2.2316.2.0 for all users.

Voice messages can now be heard without being in an active chat with the other party. Message playback will not be interrupted if the user switches from one chat to another and continues to communicate with another person.

Previously, WhatsApp allowed users to save disappearing messages with the sender’s consent and also allowed users to use the same account on different phone numbers.

*WhatsApp belongs to Meta Platforms, whose activities are recognized as extremist and prohibited in the Russian Federation.
