Parallel imports were legalized in Russia in June last year, due to the withdrawal of foreign companies from the market due to geopolitical tensions and anti-Russian sanctions, and the suspension of deliveries of some goods to Russia.

This type of import allows certain goods to be brought into the country without the permission of foreign right holders. This benefits Russian consumers, who now have access to a wider range of products, sometimes at lower prices.
