WhatsApp announced two new updates to voting features and file and media sharing on Thursday (4). Changes include single vote polls, captioned media routing, and a new option for captioned document sharing.
According to the company, new updates to the survey tool will make it easier to make decisions in group conversations because it will now be possible to create a single vote poll. To do this, simply disable the multi-response option when creating the survey.
Another new feature is that users can now search for them in chat conversations, as well as receive notifications when they vote in their polls. With this, it will be possible to filter messages by polls, as has already been done to search for photos, videos or links.
New sharing options
Document sharing has gained a very useful update. When uploading a file, users will have the option to add a title to add context to the document. This feature is the same one used to share pictures and videos.
In addition, the messenger will also allow the forwarding of photos and videos from one conversation to another, with the option to preserve or edit the original caption. According to WhatsApp, the changes will be implemented across all accounts in the coming weeks.
