On average, Russians save 8.7 thousand rubles a month for the future. At the same time, only one in five people save long-term, even for retirement. This is stated by a study by SberNPF, the results of which were reviewed by Izvestia.

Russians counted how much they save each month for the future

At the same time, 77% of Russians after retirement plan to live mainly on state payments. At the same time, only 8% of citizens found out how the state pension is calculated.

According to Maxim Buev, vice-rector of the New Economic School, if from the age of 30 you start saving 9,000 rubles each, then upon reaching old age you can save for an apartment in one of the regions and rent it out. In his opinion, for a decent old age at the age of 60-65, an amount equal to five to eight annual earnings should be in the account.

The press service of the Ministry of Finance noted that the attitude of Russians towards financial education has changed today. There has been a marked increase in the proportion of people who make their own decisions about their money and compare different options when choosing a service or product.

In addition, the ministry added that citizens are increasingly using modern tools and online services for financial management.
