Last year, the standard passed the Single Charger Act, which found that all gadgets sold in the country must have a USB-C port from 2024.

Apple is expected to implement USB-C in the iPhone 15. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the company will build chips into its special and MFI cables that will confirm the original accessories.

It is believed that the company will limit the charging speed on cables that do not require appropriate certification.

In response to this rumor, European Commissioner Thierry Breton responded with a letter from Apple warning Cupertinos that USB-C functionality is prohibited and will prevent the iPhone from being sold in the EU when the law comes into force. The letter is compiled in the company in mid-March.

The device intends to publish a technical regulation for the distribution of USB-C in the third quarter of 2023.
