Vitamin D deficiency can affect several categories of people at once. These are vegetarians; people who spend little time in the sun; old humans; dark-skinned people; people with diseases of the gallbladder and liver; people with chronic bowel disease.

However, you can get vitamin D from very few foods. These are egg yolk, caviar, liver, vegetables and butter, dairy products, cheese, fatty fish. Some of this vitamin is also found in spinach and nettle.

Moreover, even herring or mackerel is suitable from fish. Mushrooms, chanterelles, oyster mushrooms, shiitake, porcini mushrooms are considered good sources of vitamin D.
