There are no prerequisites for introducing a quota system for foreign tourists, including Russians, in Bali. This was reported at the Russian embassy in Indonesia.
“This is a personal initiative of the governor of the province of Bali. There are no prerequisites for the introduction of this system, ”RBC quotes an embassy representative.
Bali Governor Wayan Coster said last week that the island may introduce a quota system for tourist entry due to violations by foreigners, including from Russia.
The head of the region stressed that 101 people have been deported from Indonesia since the beginning of the year, 27 of whom were Russians. In March 2023, Koster also proposed tightening the visa regime with the Russian Federation.
