According to Tech_Reve, the delay is due to supply issues with TSMC’s latest processors – they are responsible for the production of 3nm A17 chips for the iPhone 15 Pro and M3 processors for the Mac.
Recall that earlier insiders reported that both SoCs will be based on the same technology. At the same time, the new items promise a significant improvement in speed and efficiency.
Therefore, if these rumors are confirmed, then we will not see a new processor at the WWDC 23 event on June 5th. However, users are unlikely to be offended given the good performance of current products.
However, that means we won’t be able to see a new Mac at the upcoming event either.
