Last Thursday (4), Samsung announced the first details of the new operating system for its Galaxy series smartwatches: One UI 5 Watch. According to the manufacturer, the update is based on Google’s Wear OS 4 and will arrive in the Watch 4 and Watch 5 series later this year.

According to the statement, One UI 5 Watch and Wear OS 4 will be released on the same date, and regarding updates and new features, South Korean relies on three main aspects of user experience: sleep patterns, new fitness tools, and even an updated SOS system.

The publication says more features will be announced in the future.

Which models will get the One UI 5 Watch?

These are the models selected to receive the new One UI 5 Watch update, as they are currently the only Samsung smartwatches running Google’s Wear OS 3: Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.

The new operating system will be tested in a beta program later this month. In the Samsung Members app for Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 4 series users.

Samsung Electronics plans to install the stable version of One UI 5 Watch after passing the testing program. on the new Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, which should hit stores in the second half.
