The new Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro phones have been officially launched by Xiaomi. The announcement of the smartphone duo’s arrival was made via a livestream on Poco’s official profiles this Tuesday (9).
The two phones share a 6.67-inch screen and the same resolution cameras. Behind it are three lenses, the main one being 64 MP f/1.8 with 1.4µm pixels. The ultra-wide sensor has 8 MP f/2.2 fixed focus with 2 MP f/2.4 macro. On the front, the selfie lens is 16MP f/2.45.

The Poco F5 Pro has an AMOLED display and a 120 Hz resolution of 3200×1440 pixels with a maximum brightness of 1400 nits and touch sampling up to 480 Hz. The device still packs a 5,160mAh battery with 67W wired charging. It even allows 30W wireless charging.
The model has IP53 protection against splashes. Inside, offers the user a 4nm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with expandable 8GB and 12GB RAM options. The phone also offers stereo speakers, IR blaster and Android 13 with MIUI 14.
The most basic version, the Poco F5, has a lower resolution at 2400×1080 pixels despite the same screen, but the same 120Hz refresh and the same 460Hz touch sampling. But the brightness is also lower and limited to 1000 nits.
The battery is also smaller at 5,000mAh and there is no wireless charging. The upload speed is the same. Meanwhile, the chip of the device is Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 with expandable 8GB or 12GB RAM possibilities.
Price and launch
Prices have not yet been officially announced in Brazil, but The Poco F5 Pro can be found on the official brand page on AliExpress starting at R$2,249, is on sale this Wednesday (10) and is using a discount coupon. Outside, the Poco F5 should cost around R$1,650 from $329 on pre-sale. The Poco F5 Pro costs US$429 or R$2,150 on pre-sale.
