The demand for flights to Georgia has multiplied by seven after the news about the resumption of flights

Demand for flights from Russia to Georgia has increased sevenfold, according to Yandex.Travel. Increased interest arose after the news that as of May 15 Russia lifts the ban on flights to Georgia.

According to the service, on average, Russians plan trips to Georgia for seven days and mainly in summer. Airline tickets for one person with a transfer for a round-trip flight cost from 40 thousand rubles.

Along with the growing interest in flights, the demand for hotel reservations in Georgia also increased. Tbilisi has become the most popular city, accommodation in a three-star hotel will cost 20 thousand rubles per day for two people.

Direct flights between Georgia and Russia stopped almost four years ago. Putin then signed a decree banning those flights for airlines from both countries due to protests against the Kremlin’s policies in Tbilisi.
