Building on the existing “Find My Device” app that helps users locate lost smartphones and smartwatches, this enhanced version will partner with tracker tags and some headsets to deliver more than just the last known location.

The network will provide near real-time location updates to help track devices around the world using nearby Android phones.

Google has confirmed that the new network will initially support existing Pixel Buds, and software updates will expand compatibility with Sony and JBL headphones.

While Google doesn’t have its own tracker like Apple’s AirTag, Android users can rely on popular brands like Chipolo, Tile, and Pebblebee. They have already introduced trackers available for pre-order

Chipolo One Point and Chipolo Card Point, priced at $28 and $35 respectively, work seamlessly with the Google network. Pebblebee offers Stickers, Cards, and Clips for $29.99 with rechargeable batteries.

It is important to note that compatibility with other platforms is limited, as these trackers only work with the Google network and apps from their respective manufacturers and do not support the Apple network.
