According to the proposal, future bill will require websites to independently monitor published information and immediately remove any that would be banned. The law aims to ensure that Internet platforms do not wait for Roskomnadzor’s reaction, and make their own decisions quickly.

“In this context, together with Roskomnadzor, we are starting to develop a legislative initiative that will compel such platforms to moderate their content and proactively remove anything that violates the law,” Khinshtein said.
