Wildberries wrote off about 2 billion rubles from sellers for “advertising services” tonight, a lawyer for the market vendors said. The demonstration does not stop in front of the market office in Moscow, the police arrived at the place. Earlier, Wildberries announced the disclosure of an illegal scheme to promote products on the site via Telegram, the damage to which was estimated at 650 million rubles.
About 2 billion rubles were written off from the sellers of the Wildberries market for the provision of “advertising services”, the vendors’ lawyer Alexander Bashkeeva told the telegram channel “Caution, news”. He pointed out that there were no contracts for such advertising services with the market.
According to RBC, the demonstration at the market office near the Avtozavodskaya metro station in Moscow does not stop for several hours, eight police cars arrived at the scene. A representative for Wildberries said they have “everything in order, they are communicating with the vendors.”
Tonight, sellers at the Wildberries market staged a rebound due to the write-off of millions of rubles for “advertising services”. According to the sellers, they did not apply for promotion services on the site.
Previously, Wildberries revealed an illegal scheme to promote products on the market through Telegram. Merchants set up advertising campaigns on the platform but did not pay for them. According to the site’s security service, about 300 people used this method of promotion. They all have to pay the full cost of advertising.
