Epic Games has released an updated game engine Unreal Engine 5.2.

This is a big update that added a lot of new features and increased optimization. In particular, the system now supports complete skipping of object rendering if the PSO is not yet ready, the number of caches for compilation has been reduced, Lumen has received improved global illumination and occlusion for fine geometry (for example, ears) on characters.

But what is most interesting is the full support for Apple Silicon processors: M1 and M2 and their other modifications. This means that running games on UE 5.2 will most likely require Rosetta technology, which translates Intel software to the ARM architecture. As a result, performance will be much higher.
