Wildberries managed to negotiate with dissatisfied sellers who came to the company’s office the day before, and halted advertising hoardings during the investigation. This is reported by the agency “Prime”.
“We reached an agreement with the sellers who came to our office: they suspended accruals for advertising while the investigative actions of the police last,” the agency quotes a press service statement.
At the same time, the market representative clarified that most sellers confirmed the use of “gray” promotion schemes and declared their readiness to cooperate with the police.
- On the evening of May 11, sellers in the Wildberries market staged a rally due to the write-off of millions of rubles for “advertising services.” According to the sellers, they did not apply for promotion services on the site. The rally lasted for several hours.
- Later, a lawyer for the market vendors said Wildberries had written off about 2 billion rubles from vendors on the night of May 11 for “advertising services.”
- Wildberries, as previously reported, revealed an illegal scheme to promote products on the site via Telegram. According to the marketplace, sellers set up ad campaigns on the platform, but did not pay for them. According to company estimates, some 300 people used this method of promotion.
