Although honey has medicinal properties, it does not contain any vitamins. Honey has other disadvantages as well.

First of all, honey is high in sugar and calories. Therefore, it should be consumed in moderate doses.

We should also not forget that honey can potentially cause allergies. It usually manifests itself in the form of hives, itching or swelling on the skin. Additionally, a person may experience more serious allergic reactions, including anaphylactic shock.

Finally, honey should never be given to babies (children under the age of 1). This is because it can cause botulism and lead to death.

News cannot be equated with a doctor’s prescription. Consult an expert before making a decision.
