The experts analyzed data from 320 studies and concluded that artificial sweeteners do not provide long-term benefits for fat burning in adults or children.

In addition, if you use sweeteners for a long time, you may face the development of type 2 diabetes, heart disease and other health problems.

The list of sweeteners considered in the study includes aspartame, advantam, cyclamates, neotame, saccharin, sucralose, and stevia. But the scientists said that sugar alcohols, which have calories like polyols, are not harmful.

WHO experts emphasized the use of simple sugars such as glucose, fructose and table sugar, but their amount should be less than 10% of the total caloric intake.

This will help reduce the risk of obesity and tooth decay. But the best option, according to experts, is to completely abandon sweets, starting at an early age.
