At the Top Stars Hotel in Abu Dhabi, a butler robot developed by a Skolkovo resident, the Perm company Promobot, has started work. The device was named Mohammed.

United Arab Emirates launched Russia’s first robot butler

The robot provides reception and accommodation services for guests: it receives them, performs check-in and check-out, issues and accepts room keys. To receive the key, the guest only needs to present a passport.

In addition, the device can help hotel guests to call a taxi, request a transfer and get advice, for example, find out about available services, infrastructure details and additional offers.

According to the company’s press service, Muhamed is the only robot in the United Arab Emirates equipped with a registration system with the ability to recognize passport data and issue access keys to numbers.

This is the first launch of Promobot’s butler robot abroad. Since March 2023, a similar development of the company has been operating in the Dobrograd park hotel in the Vladimir region. Since 2018, the company has been introducing its devices to the work of MFC in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Yakutsk and other cities.

“Our robot at the MFC saves about 40 minutes of employees’ work time every day, and this figure continues to grow. A robot is an ideal employee: always in a good mood, never late and never makes mistakes,” says Oleg Kivokurtsev, co-founder and development director of Promobot.
