SpaceX, under its Axiom commercial program, launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying a Crew Dragon manned spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS).

The ship was commanded by former NASA astronaut and the first female ISS commander Peggy Whitson, the pilot was entrepreneur John Schoffner, and the comfortable crew were astronauts from Saudi Arabia Rayyan Barnavi and Ali al-Karni. At 16:24 Moscow time, the spacecraft is expected to dock with the ISS.

Tourists will spend 8 days at the station, where the ISS will be present working on more than 20 experiments and heavy projects.

This is the second commercial flight to the ISS as part of Axiom’s statistics program. The first one took place last year in 2022, the third one is planned to be played at the end of 2023. The estimated cost of each member of the first mission is $55 million. [SpaceX]
