Discord Hacked: App Reports Users About Data Breach

Since the beginning of last week, Discord users have been given a Data breach after a third-party support agent’s account was targeted by a cyberattack. Depending on the platform, the incident allowed unauthorized access to the support ticket queue.

Email addresses, content of messages exchanged with support, and all attachments found in service tickets were exposed from the malicious campaign. The company disabled the compromised account after the leak was discovered, in addition to scanning the agent’s computer for malware.

Reinforcing its commitment to user privacy and data, the company claims it takes the action “very seriously.” He also said he’s working with his customer service partner to strengthen security and prevent further intrusions from occurring.

Watch out for suspicious activity

In the message it sent to users who improperly accessed data in this breach, the app comments: low risk of information misuse. Despite this, it warns against possible scams and scam attempts by taking advantage of the leak.
