According to Litovkin, the Patriot cannot detect targets flying too low – below 100 meters. It is like a blind spot for the system.
At the same time, the Russian S-300 and S-400 missile systems have their own “insurance” for such a situation. They work in conjunction with another system, the “Shell”. This complex can hit even very low flying targets. Including drones.
Meanwhile, the expert named other Patriot problems. Thus, the system cannot cope with hypersonic targets, ie. Those that fly very fast, faster than the speed of sound.
