The international taxi ordering service inDrive, which was founded in Yakutsk by Arsen Tomsky, will stop operating in Russia. The company’s team released an application under the new name Drivee, writes TASS, citing a source.

The inDrive taxi service will stop working in Russia

In April, inDrive transferred ownership from a Russian legal entity to a structure in Kazakhstan. It was reported that the INDELS brand team would restart the service.

“The Russian branch left the contour of the international passenger transport service inDrive in June 2022 and, in fact, began to develop independently. In May 2023, the Russian service team decided to completely restart the business under a new name: Drivee,” the source said.

Some Russian users of the service are already receiving a notification with an offer to transfer their data to the new Drivee app. After its full launch, it will be impossible to order a car in the old application. At the same time, it is not yet known when the service will finally stop working.

According to the source, in the initial stage, Drivee will not offer freight forwarding and skipper services. The company will develop city services in the Russian Federation. At the same time, all the old features of the new app will be available to users. In addition, the client will be able to offer a price for the next trip.

Employees in the company’s Russian division will continue to work as before, and staff in the Moscow and Yakutsk offices have been increased.
