In recent years, the cost of public procurement of anti-virus software in Russia has increased. According to the Kontur.Torgi service, the amount of purchases increased 2.5 times, reaching 2.3 billion rubles in 2022.

For several years, Russian companies Kaspersky Lab and Doctor Web, as well as their foreign counterparts ESET Software and Microsoft, have been leaders of the Russian anti-virus software market for several years. In 2022, Kaspersky Lab products were the most popular, both in terms of the number of purchases and the total amount of auctions completed. This proves government agencies’ trust in domestic developers and their effectiveness in combating cyber threats.

It should be noted that the volume of purchasing anti-virus software from foreign manufacturers has decreased. ESET Software and Microsoft Corporation have reduced their presence in the Russian market, which affects the number of procedures and the amount of trades published. This may be due to the growing interest in the use of domestic anti-virus solutions, as well as the introduction of anti-virus licenses for government needs by the FSB and FSTEC.

Therefore, there is a tendency to increase the use of Russian anti-virus software in public procurement. This is due to a number of factors, including the reliability and effectiveness of our developer solutions, as well as changes in purchasing rules and the introduction of licensing. Domestic companies Kaspersky Lab and Doctor Web rightfully occupy a leading position in the market and continue to actively develop and improve their products to ensure information security in government institutions.
