Starting June 1, the Ministry of the Interior will resume accepting applications for the issuance of foreign passports with an electronic storage medium. This was announced by the official representative of the department Irina Volk.
You can apply for a foreign biometric passport at the State Services, through the MFC, or directly to the territorial department of the Ministry of the Interior.
In February, the receipt of applications for the issuance of new generation passports was suspended. The Gosuslug portal then warned about technical problems on Goznak’s side.
