A three-year study led by researchers from Columbia University and Harvard Brigham and Women’s Hospital found that taking a multivitamin for one year could delay memory loss with age by three years.
This will reduce people’s risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. Although the study did not examine the normal age-related decline in cognitive function.
Experts also noticed that memory improvement was more pronounced in people with underlying heart disease. This means that these participants had lower nutrient levels.
