Designers, architects, programmers, etc. Anyone who works in a home office or spends a lot of time in front of a computer needs a monitor that meets their needs, not only for performance and image quality, but also for comfort.
Winning the 2022 CES Innovation Award for design and engineering, the new LG Ergo DualUP monitor promises to bring all these qualities to users, while bringing greater productivity. All this because its design is amazing: it has dual screens. In other words, it’s like you have two monitors stacked on top of each other for simultaneous use.
So unlike the ability to place two monitors side by side and widen the screen, the LG Ergo DualUp innovates because its design is vertical. This doubles your desktop without doubling the space the peripheral takes up on your desk and without cluttering your office. However, it is also possible to connect multiple devices and control everything via a single mouse and keyboard, thanks to the PBP and KVM functions.
The peripheral brings with it some very functional details: the edge of the screen is reduced, and its ergonomic structure allows up to six height adjustments of the screen, such as tilt, swivel, pivot, extend and retract, for greater user comfort.
LG Ergo DualUp: picture and sound quality
The equipment uses Nano IPS Technology and SDQHD resolution (2560 x 2880), which can display more than 98% of the DCI-P3 spectrum. The aspect ratio is 16:18, which is equivalent to two superimposed 22-inch monitors with a total of 28 inches.
Their configuration still includes Waves MaxxAudio®, ambient light sensor, HDR10, reading mode and integrated 7-watt stereo speakers with USB Type-C delivering up to 90 watts of power.
It is also possible to connect two devices to this monitor at the same time. This means you can split the screen between two users if you wish. For example, you can use half of the screen for one type of work and the other half for viewing a video. But there’s also the option to share it with someone who works in the same room — a great solution for small spaces.
Using the KVM Switch
Another innovative feature of the LG Ergo DualUp is that it is the only device on the market equipped with KVM Switch, short for Keyboard, Video and Mouse. It is the hardware that allows the user to control several computers using only these three devices.
This means that it is possible to manipulate everything displayed on the screen with just the keyboard and mouse, even if the contents come from different computers. This is great as there is no need to plug and unplug these devices which can be stressful as well as time consuming.
It’s no coincidence that this monitor won the CES Innovation Award 2022, an international competition that determines the best design and engineering projects in consumer technology products.
Undoubtedly, the LG Ergo DualUp will make a big difference in your work routine and bring you all the comfort you need in your daily life. To meet!
