Before we get started, it’s good to know that you don’t have to maintain your friends list for both versions of Facebook. If you review the list on your mobile device, you’ll see that the changes are applied to all devices you’re logged into with Facebook.

On Facebook, you can protect your friends from anyone who visits your profile, as well as from certain people. So you and your friends decide who has the insight. However, even if you have protected your friends list from everyone, mutual friends will always remain visible.

on PC

If you’re using a Windows PC, Mac or Chromebook, go to the Facebook website to make your friends list private. Click the down arrow next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the screen. go Settings and privacy and then Settings.

In the left menu you will find the option Privacy and here you have to maintain your friends list. in the section How can people find and contact you? Click next to Who can see your friend list? on handle. You will then find several options for maintaining your friends list in the drop-down menu.

If you don’t want anyone to have an opinion about your friends, Only me and the change takes effect immediately.

Decide for yourself who can see your friend list.

On a mobile device

To hide your friends list on an iPhone, iPad, or Android phone, open the Facebook app and tap the hamburger menu at the bottom right or top of the screen, depending on the device you’re using. Scroll down and open the dropdown below Settings and privacy.

Come back Settings and scroll Audience and visibility. Just like on your PC, here you will have the option How can people find and contact you? to find. Tap this and follow the same steps as on your computer. There is no more.

Finally, remember that your friends list is slightly different from your follower list. When someone follows you, that person will see any personal updates you post publicly in their News Feed. In another article, we will explain how to follow Facebook followers.
