South Korean manufacturer Samsung has launched a new version of the Galaxy S21 FE in the Indian market; this is a commercially successful model that makes the bet that it’s affordable to win the hearts of those who want a powerful device without spending a lot of money.
This new version brings a significant change in the processor. The device’s new chip is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888It is an octa-core processor with an ARM Cortex-X1-based architecture and Adreno 660 GPU reaching a frequency of 2.84 GHz.
The replacement marks the end of the line for the previous variant of the Galaxy S21 FE, which runs on Samsung’s own Exynos 2100 chip. The model has been officially discontinued in India and should only be marketed by partner stores until current stock runs out.
Launched at the end of 2020, the Snapdragon 888 is expected to outperform the previous chip for both general use and gaming. The component also features the third-generation 5G X60 modem, the Qualcomm AI Engine artificial intelligence system, and improves the quality of photos and videos.

The model is available in India, both online and on Samsung’s own page, with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage and five color options. In the country, the cost of the model is 49,999 rupees or about 2.9 thousand BRL in direct currency conversion.
For now, there are no details regarding the launch of the smartphone for other markets such as Brazil. The original model arrived in the country in January 2022 for BRL 4,500 and today costs less than half the amount originally charged.
