South Korean manufacturer Samsung released a text on Tuesday 18 that serves as a warm-up for Galaxy Unpacked, a conference that will reveal the brand’s next launches for the second half of 2023.

Text written by President of Samsung Electronics and Head of Mobile Experience. TM Rohand hints at what to expect from the event, which has been confirmed for July 26 this year.

While it does not bring specific product names, it does indicate some expected features from devices.

What to expect from Galaxy Unpacked?

According to Roh, Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphones include improvements in hinge technology and “thinner and lighter than previous generations”.

This information coincides with previous rumors about the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 devices, which should be the stars of the conference. The fourth-generation foldable is reported to weigh 263 grams and 187 grams, respectively.

In addition, the executive confirmed at the event that we will have a new Samsung Galaxy Tab and wearables focused on wearables or a “strong connected experience” with other devices, meaning we will have even more integration resources with the brand’s ecosystem.

Speculation points to launch Galaxy Tab S9Including Plus and Ultra versions and Galaxy Watch 6 generation smartwatches.

Finally, Roh also mentions that the devices are designed “with sustainability in mind for the future,” pointing to the use of components and processes that are less harmful to the environment, without detailing exactly what impacts are being reduced.
